Margareta Sieradzki
Margareta Sieradzki was born in northern Sweden and raised in the city of Härnösand. After graduating from high school she studied ballet at the Swedish Academy of Ballet in Stockholm.
Her foremost interest in dancing has been the Martha Graham technique which brought her to Paris for further studies.
Her interest in art has always paralleled her dancing. From early on she felt attracted by the art form known as The New York School with names like Motherwell, Kline and Francis. Also the Swedish artist Rune Hagberg has been influential on her work.
The Martha Graham dance technique has obvious connections to that art form. Margareta has tried to convey her interest for movement in the form of dance to a similar expression of flow in her art. As an autodidact she has continuously developed her view on art and presents here the work that during several years has been her form of expression.
Född i Vilhelmina, uppvuxen i Härnösand numera Malmöbo.
